Unleashing Healthcare on Wheels

The next critical initiative in our mission at Cusco Canine Rescue involves establishing a Mobile Spay/Neuter Clinic. This customized, mobile veterinary service aims to extend our reach into areas of Cusco where traditional veterinary facilities or animal adoption services are inaccessible. With the ability to perform crucial spay and neuter procedures, administer critical vaccines, and aid in the adoption process, this mobile service significantly strides towards making animal welfare more accessible.

In our drive to create a comprehensive and efficient mobile clinic, we will require the following essential equipment:

  • Centrifuge: This apparatus is critical in various clinical procedures, such as segregating fluid based on density, particularly in separating whole blood components.

  • Instrument Stand: This stand is crucial for securely holding measurement equipment and control devices, ensuring their safe storage and easy accessibility.

  • Autoclave: Essential for sterilizing medical equipment, the autoclave helps us maintain optimal cleanliness and prevent potential disease transmission.

  • Endotracheal Tubes: These tubes are necessary for safely administering inhalation anesthetics and providing a clear airway, especially for incapacitated animals.

  • Exam Stool: Ergonomically designed, this stool enables veterinarians to work comfortably and efficiently during extended hours.

  • Examination Table: This fundamental piece of furniture aids thorough animal examinations, sample collection, and other diagnostic procedures.

  • Surgery Table: Specifically designed to support our veterinary team and ensure animal safety during surgical procedures, this table includes specialized features for various surgeries.

  • Walk-On Scale: Capable of accurately weighing animals of all sizes, this scale is an essential tool for ensuring the optimal care of our furry friends.

  • Heat Pump Water: This device significantly reduces the risk of hypothermia in small surgical patients by maintaining their temperature before, during, and after surgery.

Our mobile clinic initiative, equipped with these vital tools, strives to bring essential services directly to the dogs of Cusco and its neighboring communities.
